Hi, rfog. I think the DX with a cover and delivered by myUS and plus the VAT should be about 500EU. See 489USD+45USD+75USD+80EU=517EU. So totally less than 550EU.

You need to consider VAT of 489USD in front of VAT of 359 and that DX is heavier than K2 and courier will cost more. When I receive the DX I will post all those data.

It's in Clearance Delay since Monday 11:00 AM (Spanish time). I'm calling and they say will call me but none calls...

However, a guy get sent from Amazon later than mine and he has got yet with a Clearance Delay of ten minutes...

I'm very angry but I have to endure.

While the price might be attractive for the DX, the lack of functionality with PDF will be a problem. There is no ToC and no inline link support. So if you need these, forget it. If you can live without for every PDF you have or will have, go for it. And there is no zoom of any kind for PDF.

It is a good news. But I think the DHL can deliver the order to your home. Of course it is faster to pick it up by yourself. Anyway, good luck. You are the only one I know who have both of the devices. Wait for you......

I received my DX yesterday... All excited until I loaded a bunch of pdf's most of which don't display properly meaning it has very very small text and a ton of wasted space. I had a few which did display nicely but overall I think the pdf support stinks. The refresh between page changes is nice and the thinness is also a plus. I even sent a pdf to amazon for conversion and it came back the same with a ton of wasted space and small font which I cannot increase. I then converted the pdf to prc format with mobipocket and it looked horrible. If anyone has suggestions on how to "fix" the wasted space issue with the display and pdf's, I'd appreciate any feedback. Thanks!

Hi, nice to know the second kind person who hold the both can share the experiences. Thanks very much. How do the pdf files that has been shown small text in the DX display in the DR? More comfortable or the same? How about give us some comparisons with pictures here? That will be very valuable for us I think.

BTW, You are lucky that I think you are in US because you can send a pdf to amazon for conversion and come back to your DX. I am outside, but I never plan to convert my >1000 pdfs.

Yap, in fact I just want the DX have highlighting. That's enough for me, not difficult for Amazon. However, there is NO!!!!!!

I can take some pictures later tonight when I get home from work. The text is tiny and I mean tiny on the poorly formatted pdf's. The 1000 displays them perfectly but is much slower at page turns and of course the battery life stinks. I do prefer the capacitive buttons as opposed to the DX "clicks". The form factor on the DX is sweet and easier to handle for me.

I bought the DX (already had a K1) and planned on phasing out the 1000 if it performed well. I think I have 30 days to return it if I hate the DX but I could be wrong. I read only technical computer technical pdf's and never buy from amazon so I could just transfer them through the micro-usb interace.

I'm not sure if the pdf support will ever get better with the DX with firmware updates but I doubt it. I may keep it around long term but it is a lot of $$ for what I need it to do.

I have been sure that the DR is better to display the PDFs. At least, more options to display
