Is your KoboUtilities profile set up for *Any Device or for your Kobo Libra Colour specifically?
If you double-checked that your profile is correctly set-up, a difference I can think of is about the profile. I'm using a profile specifically defined for my KoboLibraColour, not for all the devices.

it's set to any device currently, i have also kobo libra 2 in addition to the color that i read different books on but reuse the same columns.

That's very strange, I can't think of anything that would have changed in that area. I'll have a look at it.

Can you be a bit more specific about what didn't work? It would also be great if you could create a debug log as explained at the end of the help document since that would really help in trying to track down the issue.

Syncing doesn't work with the 2.18, but I can't find the 2.17.2 source (just the change-log), and don't know how to install it.

EDIT: I found the "introduction to plugins" thread, so just need the file

Inside "Version history", in the original plugin, the existing zip is 2.17.2.

@Majutsushi until Kobo Utilities 2.18.0 is fixed, can you take 2.17.2, make it 2.18.1 (and post it in place of 2.18.0) until you get 2.18.0 fixed? Thanks.

I can't reproduce the syncing issue, and so far only one person seems to be affected. It's working fine in all my tests, and syncing of existing columns shouldn't have been affected by my changes anyway. So I need some more details to be able to investigate this. I can reproduce the database compression issue, so I'll have a look at that, but it's a rather niche feature. So for now I think it makes more sense to leave the current version and not take away the new features for people that it works fine for.

The Kobo database compression doesn't work. That is a big deal. So that needs to be fixed regardless of any new features. The new features can go (IMHO) until the database compression works again. It's better to have Kobo Utilities working then new features that we don't actually need.

As you can see, a number of us have gone back to the 2.17.2 because of the database compression bug. So that proves that we find the database compression more important then the new features in 2.18.0.

For what it matters, you can use any tool (SQLiteStudio) to run a VACUUM on it. Thats alll its doing.

Niche? In your opinion.

I reverted to the earlier version. Now calibre is bugging me to get the version that DOES NOT WORK. A poor decision.

Bugging you? Calibre shows me a line informing me that plugins have been updated, and I can easily ignore it without any issue? It's not even a pop-up or anything else I have to actively close or whatever


Btw this version is working correctly for everything I use the plugin for, so while I'm glad Majutsushi is going to check the compression database error, it's great that people who use that feature can easily revert back to a working version for them, while I can use the current one

If you plugin updater button, it displays yellow. Annoying.
