[GUI Plugin] Kobo Utilities

For what it may be worth, I reverted to Kobo Utilities 2.17.2 and the Database compress function worked. I updated to 2.18.0 and no joy. I've attached images of the results.

Do any of the people with vacuum issues also use Kobo Utilities to fetch the new metadata? I wonder if that might be a factor.

What could be possible is to have some configuration for each of the two values that creates a secondary column with a configurable format, and which then creates a template similar to the one I posted automatically for the secondary columns. That would be a non-trivial change though so I'm not sure when I might get around to that. I would be happy to accept contributions though.

Why do we need the raw seconds? Just convert the time back to raw seconds. It'll be close enough.

I'm not using Kobo Utilities to fetch new metadata and I do the the vacuum error.

I am not fetching new metadata. And I forgot to mention that the error occurs with Kobo Utilities 2.18.0. I will revert to the previous version. Thanks, everyone.

I too don't understand what fetching new metadata is with Kobo Utilities.

Nevermind I got the error even though they are blank

I tried the new plugin, with or without the new metadata I was unable to successfully sync. I ended up rolling back to the prior version.

Which Kobo do you have? Running which firmware? Calibre version?

I don't have any issue with Calibre retrieving data for all columns on connect (Kobo Libra Colour, running the latest firmware. Same for Calibre).

Kobo libra color software version 4.41.23145. Calibre version was 7.24. I did setup the columns before hand to make sure that wouldn't be an issue.

The only difference with my setup is that I'm running Calibre 7.25 (but I did try the previous version of Majutsushi's plugin update and it worked on Calibre 7.22 too). My KLC is running the same firmware version


Is your KoboUtilities profile set up for *Any Device or for your Kobo Libra Colour specifically?
If you double-checked that your profile is correctly set-up, a difference I can think of is about the profile. I'm using a profile specifically defined for my KoboLibraColour, not for all the devices.

This is my set-up for reference
