This is perhaps my one concern with the Aura ONE. While it says I own one in my profile, I've yet to receive it: a relative was just in the US for a few months and I decided to order the Limited Edition Aura ONE by mail so they could bring it to me. I'd already placed and paid for the order when I first heard of this touch accuracy problem, and while it shouldn't be a problem while reading, it will likely drive me mad.

I just hope it's not as bad as people make it seem and/or that it is an issue that can be somehow fixed through software. I haven't had any problems with touch accuracy on my Glo HD, but it is infra-red driven touch, so...

Generally I'll just hope there's nothing wrong with it, cause Kobo will likely not offer support for it here in Brazil.

Bought an Aura One & the USB port died a year later. Bought another and the display died within 6 months.

Bought a Forma and, so far so good. I'd skip the Aura One were I you and, if you want the best ereader on the market, go with a Forma.

Just watched a comparison video between KA1 and KF. The night light is much redder in the KA1. I think that is a win for KA1.

Mine is orange. I was under the impression that the earlier Aura One's were red and the later were orange but i could be mistaken.

That was my understanding, as well. Mine is an early model and the light is red.

I'm really been enjoying the extra size.

I believe you're confusing the Kobo Aura (Edition 2) with the Kobo Aura One. I admit their labeling can be somewhat confusing.

If you go to their PRODUCTS, you'll see their entire lineup of readers.

The Kobo Aura is a different device to the Kobo Aura ONE.

There has been some discussion on whether Kobo has stopped selling the Aura ONE. I don't believe there has been an official announcement, but has been removed from some national sites. Actually, it looks like it has been removed everywhere. At the moment, it looks like only the Limited Edition is available in the countries it was released.

perhaps Kobo are planning a KA1 v2 or another model to replace it entirely. maybe they have decided that being able to choose between the H2O v2 or the Forma means that they don't feel they need to make a 7.8 screen size ereader anymore.

time will tell it always does.

It makes sense to drop the One now that the Forma is available.
(Yes, they are not exactly the same thing, but they are both high-end eReaders.)
They still have too many models in the lineup, IMO.
Having the Aura Edition 2 and the Clara at only $10 difference is just going to cause consumer confusion for no real advantage, especially now that the basic Kindle also has a backlight, and is $30 cheaper, so the Aura Ed 2 isn't really offering a competitive low-end alternative.

i'm in the UK and the Aura Edition 2 appears to be only available to buy on the Kobo website. two of the biggest retailers Argos and John Lewis don't have it listed on their websites anymore.

i believe the Aura Edition 2 is already being phased out/replaced by the Clara HD.

I have a Kobo Forma and also consider to sell it and by an Aura One. I like the big, flush screen of the Forma but still checking if PWM is an issue for me.

My question is: is it confirmed that Aura One (and all other models from Kobo?) do not use PWM? Or is it just that with the Forma someone checked it the first time?

A bit of the pain is that Rakuten in Japan, where I bought the Forma, does not accept returns unless the device is broken. And it does not seem like the Aura One is still sold.
