The perfect ereader would have a screen the size of the Kobo Mini with a frontlight as good as the Voyage and a smaller bezel so it would fit comfortably in a shirt pocket. Actually I think what this thread proves is that the perfect ereader is a myth. Perfect for who? I'm older than most of you guys so let's say perfect for me. But wait. There are more of you so you outvote me. There ain't no perfect ereader. ![]() So I'll tell you what would be the perfect ereader if it could exist: first, it would stretch or shrink so it could be any size you prefer. It would have a light quality control so the light can be as good or bad, as even or splotchy as you like. It would weigh practically nothing unless you needed more weight and then you could use the voice control to tell it to get heavier. It would obey! There's be one additional button that causes the inflatable recliner to pop out so you could read comfortably wherever you happen to be. Amazon, are you reading this! You could call it the Amazon Skindle. ![]() Barry |

The K4NT has pivoting (they rock towards the edge) page buttons on both sides.
In my case (XL Hands) they are backwards (forward is the bottom button). Inverting the screen fixes that, but the K only does that for SOME of the things (library, menu and book). Do other actions and you have to right the teader |

Remember Google Glass? A clip-on display for glasses that will project a text screen into the field of view, much like Microsoft's Hololens, can be wirelessly fed from a very small, low power computer. Maybe dedicated hardware, maybe as an app from a phone, watch, or PC. As dedicated hardware it can be built into a pen form factor to accommodate a paging button and a motion-sensor for the guy. Technology evolution doesn't stop; there will be be and different ways to read soon enough. |

Haptic addresses the same feedback issue in even thinner devices. Of course, the Oasis makes it moot by going with a spinal design. |

eink.
page turn buttons on both sides. more memory. I want all my books in my amazon archive organized into categories instead of my downloaded books. That way I could easily find my next read to download and no longer need to keep all my books in my device. Trying to browse through a couple thousand unorganized books to find the one you want is ridiculous, and no I don't always remember title or author to search for. |

For me, the perfect reader would be an Aura Mini, and the source code so I can modify it as I like
