I think this is cool. My B&N already has a good graphic novel/manga section. This will make it better. In most cases, I still prefer graphic novels in paper editions, especially when the prices are often practically the same. (Many aren't available in electronic editions yet.) So if I have a discount or a coupon, I can spend it in that section. Then get coffee. (eReaders still can't make a Frapuccino.)

Was just in a store yesterday, and they have expanded the section, but not (so far) the inventory. Just a more shelf space where all the books are faced out. Hopefully the shipments catch up.

B&N just said they were increasing the size of the section, not the number of books in it.

My store rearranged a lot of the sections recently. They had to do it section by section. It takes a while to reshelve books. Kind of like restocking the shelves in my basement, only multiplied by 50 times. And unlike me, they have to put their shelves in order.

As long as they're not like my local Books-a-Million. They keep putting the oddest things in the wrong category -- like The Maltese Falcon under romance. Then there are those stores that keep putting Westerns in fantasy because if it has horses on it, it must be like those Game of Thrones books...
