One problem I do have with the iPhone 5 is that I constantly have to keep making zooming in because the screen is too narrow. |

I'm torn between the two sizes: 5.5" would be great for web browsing on the go, but the 4.7" would certainly be easier to stow. Ugh, I wish foldable displays would hit the market already!
Regarding screen ratio, I prefer 16:9 for phones and 4:3 for tablets. 4:3 is better for viewing documents and traditional webpages, which I find the tablet's size is optimal for. Conversely, since the phone can only show a zoomed in version of these things anyway, I think it's better that its screen be optimized for video. Last edited by Dylrob; 06-30-2014 at 01:04 AM. |

I would much prefer the 5.5 screen size and will stick with the iPhone (have 4s) if this comes to be.

I am waiting with interest as well.
I find the 4S too small screen wise and am hoping that the 6 will have a bigger display. I do not want to have to shift over to an Android device as I prefer the iOS ecosystem. I truly think that Apple will lose even more market share if they do not move to a bigger screen. |

Apple really isn't that interested in market share. They simply want to maintain their high rate of profit. One of the biggest lessons they learned from the 90's back when the Soda salesman was running the company into the ground was that 2 well thought out, well designed models is a lot better than 10 models with minor differences. As I recall, the big reason that Apple didn't want to go to a bigger screen was because of the ergonomics, i.e. you can't use it one handed. If Apple goes with the bigger screen it will be because they either figured out a way around the ergonomic issue (Siri voice commands perhaps), or they decided that using the phone one handed wasn't that big of an issue with their customers.

I will probably buy one of the new models because my iPhone 4S's battery is starting to be a bit weak. Screen size is not really an issue for me because I carry my iPad with me all the time and I very rarely use the iPhone to browse the web. I do use it to read though, so if the screen is a bit wider I won't complain.
But I think I will choose mostly based on functionalities. I'm sure that if Apple does offer different screen sizes, the specs will also be different, with the smaller screen offering less in other areas too. So I'll probably buy the better one, unless the size of the device is really uncomfortable. I'll have to go to an Apple Store and look at it to know that I guess. I'll be staying with my 4s as long as it lasts. I really hate the 16:9 ratio on a phone and while I'd love to see a wider screen than the current 5s I wouldn't want it any taller.

I have found that 4.7" is the sweet spot for phone size for me. So unless the specs are vastly different between the two models, I'll go for the smaller Iphone 6.
I'm currently using a Samsung Galaxy S3, and it's definitely showing its age. Very slow and laggy at times. Haven't even had it for 2 years!! For that reason, I'm going back to IOS (my Iphone 4 that I had before this is still going strong in the hands of my oldest daughter, and I got that 4 years ago). My wife's Droid barely lasted 2 years, too. Love the customization of Android, but the iphones seem to last longer than the Android phones. |

I'm thinking about replacing my iphone 4, that I've had since February 2011. I have to say my phone isstill going strong and really doesn't need replacing. But I've heard, not sure, that ios 8 will not support iphone 4, if that's the case I might just purchase the iphone 6.
Recently my battery died in my phone and when I went to the apple store to have the battery replaced they really wanted me to upgrade my phone. I paid $79.00 and had them replace the battery, I want to wait on replacing my phone. Especially since September is around the corner. |

That's what they said in the WWDC keynote June 2nd, 4s is the oldest iPhone they list that will support it. Strangely enough they said the iPad 2 will be able to run it too!

Not too strange really: The iPad 2 runs on the A5 processor, same as the 4s. Same amount of RAM too.
