the look great - just curious as to their weight? They seem well made ie thick and may add substantial weight to the reader. I do like the idea that they look / feel like an expensive leather bound book.

btw i hold my kindle in my hand when i read so the idea as mentioned above by someone to design it so you can prop the kindle up does not seem very useful to me.

I like the design very much - it's really lovely.

I think it looks fine - makes it look more like a book, IMO, but it would be nice to have the option of different legends there. As other people have said, the gold will probably wear off and make it look a bit tatty - plain embossing would be better.

Agree. I have these on my present cover - I don't use them at all, and find them a nuisance when I'm holding the device in my left hand. Save yourself the material, or if you really think there's mileage in it, make it optional.

Whereas I much prefer the encaing method to elastic straps; I feel it's far more secure, and it's likely to last longer too, as all elastic perishes eventually.

I'm curious to know about this too. My present one has the ereader inserted at the top, and then a flap folds over and tucks in behind the ereader to hold it in the cover, which is very secure - is this similar?

This really is needed - most covers use a strap with a magnetic press-stud. I wouldn't buy one that couldn't be held closed.

Etsy is OK, but it does tend to attract people who are looking for 'homemade' items. If you want to be seen as a professional company, you really need to spend some money to employ a website designer and get a proper stand-alone website with PayPal and Google Checkout set up on it.

I hope you develop this further and make cases for other e-readers. If you make one for the Sony, a useful addition would be a holder on the inside of the spine for the stylus.

While I agree that it'd be much better if it could be held closed, I would NOT buy it if it had a flap with a magnet as I've seen many pictures of broken screens that have an impact point right where that stud would fall if it were closed with the flap in between the cover and the screen...

I have a case where the cover is held closed by magnets embedded in the top and bottom corners of the cover itself. No flappy piece to damage the screen. It works well, and was very cheap also.

Hi everyone, I would like to thank you for your great response, just a update, I am designing new prototypes, at least 3 different distinct designs, these prototypes will be very different to the cases I currently have, I will be really interested to hear what you all have to say especially about the new inside of the case which will be completely different and will have a built in lighting system. Hope to have them finished within the next three weeks. Thanks again Lee

Good point - never occurred to me that might happen!

I really like the look of the case, and unlike some others I also love the credit card slots. With them I can leave my purse and just carry the Kindle as it will have room for credit cards, Uni ID, and driver's licence.

Priced at around $30, although that might be low as I would pay more if it is as good as it looks, you should be able to sell plenty of them.
