It's a relatively new seller, yep, using a stock photo. I never trust them. Ever!
You're making quite the assumption that your friend is getting a K4. They could end up with a K3 or who the heck knows what. If you start a dispute you have to send it back to the seller with tracking. $$$$$ with Canada Post! No tracking? No refund as per PayPal rules. Conscience??? for what? You got screwed. You haven't done anything wrong! |

As for giving your friend the K4 instead, nothing to feel guilty about. If you are selling it, adjust your price if needed. But keep the one you want. |

I have a K4SO. I thought I was buying another K4, for my dear friend.
Instead I received the Kindle 3G with the keyboard. To buy a K4 is $109 and the K3G with keyboard is $189. K4 has 2GB and K3G has 4GB and external speakers... Soooo, I was going to keep my new e-bay purchase K3G keyboard, and give my friend my almost new K4SO refurb. I am happy. Really and truly. ![]() |

That sounds great, and I am sure your friend will be very happy to receive the K4! It's a win-win situation.
Hopefully that seller won't be selling any more Kindles! |

Yes, that seller is VERY lucky that you and the other buyer are happy with what you got.

You got lucky. The K3 is a great device. I think that there is something fishy here because the K4 and K3 don't look that much alike. Also why sell K3 for that little money? It feels off.

![]() I understand your skepticism, ProfCrash. I am wondering what happened as well, and waiting to hear back from the seller. Check out the item? I'm lgardiner07 http://feedback.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI...ab=AllFeedback And check out the other e-reader purchased by supermommia But everything else lines up with the description. The seller promised a purple plaid case, and it came, said a silicon skin came with it, and the skin was on the K3, and inside the purple plaid case. Did the seller not realize what they had? It was a "Buy it Now" not an auction. I must admit, at first glance, I was upset, until I realized that the K3G keyboard model was more $$$ than the simple K4. I guess I really am lucky? |

eBay changed & now only show the last 15 days of listings. Try www.goofbay.com to see longer. All the listings I saw of theirs use stock photos. Bad, bad, bad!! If he/she is selling camera lenses then you'd darn well think they have a camera to take pictures of their stuff.
I don't trust sellers using stock photos as far as I can throw them! It shows laziness, carelessness or just plain stupidity. People need to see what they're buying and trust that what they see is what they're going to get. Some people even steal other peoples photos to make it look like they took it and it's not a stock photo. It's a dangerous online world out there! |

Take a look at the backgrounds of this person's lego listings. They're all different. Similar looking but different. IMHO, they steal photos they've seen online to use in their listings.
Definately not trustworthy based on that. If you're going to sell online, taking your own photos is a requirement. |
