I have several Skagen watches and I absolutely love them! They are thin, light, and made of titanium. They are not expensive and all of mine have lasted for years. Highly recommended.

Here is a small sample.

Do they use Sapphire glass?
Are they radio controlled?

Have you found the Watchuseek forum? There's some seriously geeky watch folk there, and no doubt lots of advice.

http://forums.watchuseek.com/

One thing I did see briefly in browsing - if a titanium watch does get scratched, the scratch can't be removed. SS watches can be re-polished to remove scratches. Apparently.

Has anyone mentioned the Citizen CB0030-56E? Radio controlled timekeeping, titanium, 200m, sapphire glass, eco-drive (no battery replacements).

I guess I stumbled upon this forum because I read this scratching/polishing thing.

I have since a number of years, I think 7, this Promaster Eco-Drive Pilot Radio Controlled [AS2020-02E]. With a Kevlar band, that I already changed twice, but that is much more comfortable than the steel bracelet. At least for me.

I have several watches, nicer than this one, but somehow it has become my preferred. It is strong, waterproof, I use it when I swim, when I ski, when I work in the shack or play tennis and my wife lets me use it even when she dresses me up for a marriage or equivalent.

I am back and with the new watch.
Citizen World Perpetual A-T Titanium Eco Drive (Citizen CB0030-56E).

It has the latest Caliber H145 vs. h144 that the first models had. What it means I have no idea
It is a bit chunky. Some 20 years ago I had Russian Admiral watch that looked like the one on the pic. Since then I had 2 smaller and lighter watches
I am sure I will get used to it Glad it is titanium, it is hefty as it is. The watch came with a good interactive CD on how to configure it. It does have a perpetual calendar. In a sense that once configured properly, there is no need to worry about 28/29 February and 30/31 days other months.

Guys, thanks a lot for your help!

I have got a question.
I would like to shorten the titanium bracelet. I want to remove two smallest links.
Do I have to go to the watch repair man or can I do it myself?
In theory, all I have to do in order to remove one link is to push 2 metal pins that connect two links, remove the link, and reinsert one metal pin. Repeat for another link on another side of the lock.
But it is theory. In practice...I don't know.
What do you think?

P.S. Maybe I have to visit

Removing links is pretty straight forward. I've done it myself with cheap watches.

Personally, I wouldn't, and didn't, do it with a more expensive watch. My current Citizen watch I took to a watch repair place in Solihull. They whipped a couple of links out within minutes and then refused to charge me anything at all! Even if people do charge, it's not going to be much. Personally, I'd pay a little rather than risk it with a new, expensive watch.

Will do it this way.

I also did it with cheap ones but for some reason don't want to mack up a good watch.

Adding removing links is something I think anyone can do, all you usually need is a paper clip.
