April, you'll really like the cover with the light. I have the light cover and it's very nice.

As for M-Edge, obviously they are putting their efforts where they think the money is. What other "truth" could there be? |

But as it is, I got a free light cover with my 650. I do agree that the Tuff-Luv cover is nice. |

Hard to say. It might well be poor business judgment. Or it could be any number of other things - contract supplier problems, for instance. or maybe the CEO was frightened by a Walkman as a child. It certainly seems strange that such a huge potential market would be ignored. Maybe the market isn't really there.

Well, judging from what I've read, there has been enough interest in m-edge products for the new Sony and it's m-edge that don't want to make them. And now after the Martha Stewart recommendation for the new Sony, I'd think m-edge would be racing to make product. But no, m-edge is being asinine.

Jon, did you ever get a response from your second email?
I'm planning on emailing them and letting them know that I have decided to go with a Tuff-lov cover. Considering I've purchased 6 different covers and 3 booklights from them in the past 2 years and have recommended their product on many occasions to people who I know have purchased from them because of my recommendation, they are definitely losing a valuable customer. I would like to know how many of their coveted Kindle and Nook customers are repeat customers. In this economy, ignoring any market share is just bad business. |

The velcro system used by Oberon works great. I know several folks who used the velcro system for their K1s and K2s and it worked great. The Kindle has not dropped out of the case and they used it daily. |

You have to email/call them though as they no longer sell Sony covers through their website. Last edited by library addict; 12-18-2010 at 01:04 AM. Reason: add info |
