As an ex-pat living outside my own country, the movie theatre is not an option for me. Although I speak the local lingo I don't enjoy watching films in it as I am not totally fluent.

The solution a DLP overhead projector & screen with a decent surround system gives me the big screen experience without the annoying distractions. And it is WAY cheaper to hire the DVD than a seat ticket.

Today's sunday. I'm going to the Harry Potter movie with the family; well, the three of us, all grown ups now. We all love it., and even pink a tear away now and then.

edit: seen the film; great one.

I'm looking forward to seeing this on Blu at home. Since I've spent a decent bit of time and money putting together my home theater I have no desire to leave my house to see a movie. I really enjoy watching movies by myself and generally an audience takes away from the experience for me. One of my little faults, I guess.

Everything I've heard and read indicates that it might very well be the best film of the series. I hope that's true, especially since I was disappointed with Half-Blood Prince. I've read all the books and am really glad that they seem to be ending the movies on a high note.

I have to confess that I escaped the icebox for a few hours yesterday. the theatre in the next town over has a special "adults only" theatre. and no, it is not for "adult films". you pay about a buck fifty extra, and get into a 21 and over theatre, get to have wine or beer, order food from the concierge, and have it delivered in theatre.

ok, anyway. I went yesterday. I had read the book. it was dark. I expected it. it was REALLY dark. I am waiting for the backlash of parents who end up with some really upset kids after seeing this

Went to the midnight showing on Saturday - very peaceful . The movie was better than I dreamt possible - absolutely wonderful!
