regardless, you can't see the Grand Canyon by train. I've hiked to the bottom and back twice and to the bottom of Havasu Canyon once. I'm pretty familiar with transportation around there. oh! and rafted through a few times

Nooooooo not by mule or by Wagon Train. Have seen trips advertised by Grand Canyon Railways with those wonderful coaches with the Observation Domes allowing for fabulous views. Unless of course they have gone out of business. If so I'll choose Wagon Train.

it only takes you TO the Grand Canyon from a tiny little town in Arizona. quite honestly, I've never heard of it. it sounds like some private company has managed to purchase some old cars and leased some track.

be assured that this is not a tour OF the Grand Canyon, just to the park itself. it could be quite fun I'm sure, but just as long as you know what it is and isn't!

Alaska, for hiking , camping, kayaking, then to Australia for the sunning, scuba lessons, hiking.

If you want to go down INTO the Grand Canyon, you have to go by mule.

If you want to go TO the Grand Canyon, thats a different story!

Travelling by mule reminds me of the film Two Mules For Sister Sarah with Shirley MacLaine. No thank you very much. I just love my creature comforts. I wouldn't survive.

I would rather hike than ride one of those mules on a trail that narrow.

I keep getting pictures in my head of me getting the only cross-eyed mule out there..........
