Oh, yes! Lower down the page. With the tooltip AltText_5. I didn't spot that before. Hey, Daily Mail and the Economist. All bases covered...

The uk covers are quite a subtle and restrained design, basically just a colour variation on the one below:

I have to admit that the US covers pretty much sucked. one has to wonder what was wrong with the artist's sense of proportion among other things

in case ya don't know....the numbers on the K3 are now buried in with the SYMBOLS under the SYM key....oh, joy. Sorry that really is not a good thing for me and probably for a lot of folks who never even bothered to look at the keyboard, I know I missed that the numbers were gone.

see K3 user manual Ch1 p.33-34

I love when people complain about how the Kindle doesn't support this format or that -- If you're too lazy to use Calibre to convert your books, then you deserve to have your ebook reader license revoked.

I think a lot of people flat out don't understand. it just gets repeated over and over again so that it becomes "truth"

I have to say that I am fairly new to the game, and until recently didn't know how to format shift most of my books. I finally broke down and learned to back up my restricted books, too. Then I made the jump and "Russified" my 300.

Most normal people (face it, WE are not normal) do not do these things. I went with the 300 because it was easier for me at the time to find epub books and I didn't want to be tied to Amazon. Now I am drooling over the K3, and know that I would be able to change my books, if needed.

I'm on the fence, and the major factor holding me back is $$$$. I have a reader, and cannot justify another. My son also drooled when I told him about the new Kindle. He just got his 300 for graduation.

Guess I'll hang around and see what the future brings. This could get interesting, boys and girls. (I hope)

Heh well actually I am moving from Sony to kindle cause I am too lazy to keep figuring out where my bookmarks should be. Does this mean I need my license revoked?

Not everybody is as computer savvy as you may be. I would have to explain to my mother how to remove the DRM and convert books if she bought the Kindle. As most Dutch (if not all) books are in DRM'd epub.

(I've not even done it myself!)

So to be a Kindle owner all I have to do is convert a few hundred books in my collection and steal from the public library by cracking the DRM? No thanks.

ePub is the standard for ebooks and until Amazon supports it as far as I'm concerned they don't even make an eBook reader.

I just did a return on the Kindle I ordered on the 15th online.

Anyone know when I ship it back if they will accept it without original packaging? I tossed the box, didn't exactly expect this to happen.

Doh!
