Cool Reader on Android

Possiblity of access to your catalog depends on your internet connection type.
Try running ipconfig from command line. Do you see any other address?
(press Win+R, type cmd<enter>, in opened console window, type ipconfig<enter>, look at result).
If you see another address, possible it's your public IP - try to specify it in OPDS catalog settings.

Well cool reader sees my calibre content server when I type in the above address. I get the list that shows By newest, By title, etc like aldiko and mantano give me, however when I click on one of those to bring up my books collection it gives me a message "Downloading HTTP://192.168.x.x/opds/navcatalog/4f6e6577657374" with a progress bar then after about 15 seconds it states "error while reading opds catalog. Thats something I've never gotten with aldiko or mantano. I'd very much like to use this reader in my household. I think it's the most visually pleasing of all the android readers but I cannot use it if it cannot access my content server from calibre.

P.S. no other addresses appear when I ping my connection btw. I'm sure that's the one the other readers use also.

Could you send me system log after unsuccessful OPDS access? It can be saved to file using Android System Info tool. Please send it me to email buggins (at) fromru.com

So strange I have another android device with a completely different os on it and it does the same thing. Hmmm I would say it's something in my Calibre program except for the fact that Aldiko and Mantano both work fine.

It looks like there is some bug in CoolReader. I need to test it with Calibre in order to identify and fix it.

I really like this e-reader and have looked at almost every menu option but I do not see how you can set a new profile. There is a tap zone action that allows you to select a new profile and comes up with a list of profiles but there is no option that I can find to set or save a new profile. Does anyone know? I have searched this thread and googled this extensively. Unfortunately the documentation for this wonderful program is extremely lacking.

Profile is being set per-book.
If new book is opened first time, current profile is being assigned.
If old book with different profile is opened, its profile is being activated.
If you changed profile while some book is opened, this profile will be activated each time you reopened this book later.

Connect phone to PC using USB. Press "YES" on question about USB storage device activation on phone. After that, you'll see one or two new drives on PC (internal storage and SD card of phone). Copy your books to SD card (good location could be directory Books on SD card).
