Thats so odd... Summer Knight was one of my favorites!

In fact, it was my first favorite read of the series, followed by Dead Beat, Turn Coat, Changes and Cold Days.

I suspect there'd be more disagreements about Thomas than Harry or Murphy specifically *because* he's described as being so, so pretty. There are so many different definitions of a beautiful male....where with Harry and Murphy the descriptions are more generic, so it stretches and could cover more potential faces.

Religions may see any sex scenes as a deal breaker even for adults -- thus invalidating a whole lotta books that aren't paranormal in the slightest, but apparently my mother doesn't have any problem with thrillers -- or the usual rant against magic and satanism or something.

But the handful of times I have heard objections about the inappropriateness of fantasy books, it always seemed to be based on the assumption that somehow fantasy books are intrinsically dirtier. And I always ask how that can be so, when all the evidence is against that And I never got a good explanation.

(My mother never did answer how thrillers are less dirty than fantasy, so if anyone has an explanation -- I have been trying to find out for years. )

I do like the others very much. Summer Knight just didn't click with me. It got a little better in the rereads, but not up to par with the rest. There are some good scenes in there though.
