+1 on the Stanley. My grandfather drove long-haul trucks his entire life and carried his coffee in one daily. I have picked up the habit. Coffee put in the thermos at 4am is still hot for me at 4pm. I've not tried longer, but I can definitely vouch for the quality.

When I worked nights and was the only one drinking coffee, I'd grab a cup as soon as I made a pot and then unplug the pot. Any cup I wanted later I'd just put in the microwave for 30 seconds. It stayed pretty fresh that way. Of course, now there are single serving machines like Keurig, so there's no need.

Thanks for the recommendation. Twelve hours should be long enough for my trip to the UK. I also plan to use it in the store when it gets colder. Now I have a thermal mug, and I have to make tea several times during the day. I plan to get the one liter bottle.

I've just made swatches for my new watercolour sets. And started work on a new project. I'm waiting for the paint to dry so I can continue with the doodling stage.

It's funny, I never thought much of abstract art. Or rather that many abstract art works have a whole meaning it is supposed to represent. It's never "I liked this colour combination", but a while blah blah story of what each colour represents. My art teacher was that way and wanted her students to be that way. It took the fun out of doing art for me.

Now what do I enjoy doing most? Just messing about with watercolours and markers. Also, I can't paint a landscape, portrait or still life to save my life if I had to.

I draw like a 4 year old. When I was in 7th grade, I was put in art class as a punishment. (The vice principal tried numerous things to punish me because my aunt had turned him down a couple of years before when he made a pass at her.) The art teacher realizing my inability just sent me across the hall to help in the special ed classes.
Had to love karma years later. My son's family is well known in this town. It was so funny to watch that now principal attempt to kiss my son's backside every chance he got. I did tell my son do not tell him who your mother is. Oh yes, my son took advantage of his name.

Thank you. I don't know how I caught it. They prescribed over the counter artificial tears, cool or warm compresses and rest.

Hubby is really freaking out about it. He has this things about anything to do with eyes.

I've never had one before but he had it before. I do not wear contacts. The itching is really annoying.

You should be better in a few days. Just remember to wash your hands thoroughly after every treatment. I was just told to keep my eye washed out when I got it. No compresses and no rest. I still had to go to school. I also had to go to school the day after I busted my tongue too. Couldn't eat, couldn't talk but wasn't contagious.
Amazing how things have changed. Or in other words, there still isn't much that can be done while the eye is doing its thing.

Although you could argue that I could do a lot with €300 extra.

If we're lucky he will let all of us know what the next step is next week. Our lawyer still thinks there is a chance that my uncle and father have to go to court. And I discovered there's a art supply and scrapbooking store near the city center, so I have already found a destination for that money .

Tonight I realized that my shopping when I go to the UK has changed over the years. I used to take a make sure I had enough space for clothes and books I would buy during my trip. I like the tops that Evans (plus size) sells and English books were cheaper in the UK. I still buy clothes when I'm in the UK, though less now ordering from the Evans website has become so easy (they even accept the Dutch online payment platform iDeal) and books I don't buy anymore since I've gotten an eReader. I do still stock up on packets of Lemsip capsules. They work great when I have a cold and I can't get them in the Netherlands.

For the first time in about three years I'm wearing contact lenses. Putting them in was easy (hopefully taking them out tonight will go smoothly, too), but it now feels like my eyes aren't working together. Hopefully my eyes will get used to it soon.

The contact lens lady couldn't see any irritation or infection and agreed with me that one day contact lenses were a good start, especially since I don't plan to wear them daily, at least to start with.

Well I'm trying to figure out a metallic smell coming from my desktop. I opened BB up and took a can of air to her insides. She needed it. I sniffed around in there but nothing smelled off.

Now it's raining I'll have to wait for the weather to pass. To test her out. It's appalling the condition of my desk and under it. Hubby's as bad as a teenager sometimes.

So was my ex. Actually, he admitted to still being a 10 year old at heart. [ He didn't admit that he wanted somebody else to pay the bills, the way parents do. But he did. ] Anyway, he's passed, a bit ago. Anybody interested in a 19ft Roadtrek RV? Needs work, but could be cool if you are mechanically handy or possessed of some cash to fix her up.
