What is funny, when I lived in another town, one place I lived was at the end of the north south runway. When I moved I wound up at the end of the east west runway. East west had many more planes. Now I live in the middle of town. Neighbor noise is what gets to me.

You did get I lived on base right? I had to hear planes, jets, bombers...etc taking off all the time not just during an air show. The air shows were the worse and scary. You learned to live with the other. Even though it was an Air Base we had all branches there. My neighbor was a Marine. Alot of parties there some got of hand. SPs were called a few times.

It was just you mentioned the Blue Angels. Must ask, did they do that awful recreation of the bombing of Pearl Harbor?
Ok, must ask what does SP stand for? I know in the Navy it is Shore Patrol and the Army has Military Police.


My ex was Navy. My son was born at Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston. Now ex was stationed there for school.

Security Police. It's been so long I don't remember but the haunted house and Blue Angels I'll never forget everything else is a blur of noise.

We sometimes get flyovers here from Scott or Whiteman AFB. Hubby was stationed at Whiteman when I met him. We didn't live on base after we married though​. We lived in Warrensburg. Living on base is a whole experience to itself.

I never lived on a base. The ex was too low in rank. But in San Diego, base housing is not actually on a base. That may be due to the number of bases there.
