Thanks for the info @knc1 but do not see any KUAL booklet I have filtered search by "ALL" and "DOWNLOADED" to no avail.

I even ran KUAL uninstall file provided in the Snapshots thread and then again tired KUAL update file still same result:twice blank screen flashes and kindle restarts

Edit: Registered the kindle still same result. Should I update it to some customer firmware like 5.10.1 to see results, I am still currently on 5.9.0.6??

You're contradicting yourself.

You're saying you can't find the KUAL "book" in your Library, yet you describe the exact symptoms of *running* it (albeit, the unpatched build, but, still).

bro @NiLuJe not joking, seriously I have looked a thousand times through all my books to find the KUAL. My books are also currently only 11 in total with 7 of them being different versions of Oasis guides plus one book containing all the dictionaries still no KUAL in sight.

Hi Guys,
I have a Kindle Oasis 2017 with firmware version of 5.10.1.1.
I have blocked auto-updates.
I want to try to jailbreak it so that I can use KOreader, custom screensavers, etc. Can anyone PM me the password to the factory image? Thank you!

Device Specs:
Model: Kindle Oasis 2017 (32GB & WiFi ONLY)
Serial Number: G000 SA-- ---- ----
Firmware: Kindle 5.10.1.1 (3358290034)

Yes.


Keep in mind, both there is both a consumer 5.9.0.6 and a factory (test firmware) 5.9.0.6
The factory 5.9.0.6 can be jail broken, the customer 5.9.0.6 can not be.
The customer 5.9.0.6 can run our add-ins, the factory 5.9.0.6 can not.


All released versions of the customer firmware are still on the Amazon server.
Go to your device's support page -
Copy the download URL for the current release -
Change only the version number string in the URL to download the firmware version you want (I.E: You do not have to download the only release version shown on that page).

Sorry @knc1 didn't get that completely can you explain again

Edit: Latest firmware on for my kindle is showing as 5.10.2 should I download it as it is or rename the 5.10.2 part of the filename as 5.9.0.6??

And after updating what do I need to reinstall again??
