Frozen is better than nothing, and is ok mixed with other stuff.

My favorite way is to just cut the heads off and pop them in a pot. Salt and butter. Down they go.

sounds like you have some problems, and possibly a happy puppy (if the plate is in big pieces)

Making Caesar coleslaw later. I ran across the recipe in one of the magazines at work and then felt like an idiot for not thinking of it earlier. It's just regular coleslaw ingredients (grated cabbage and carrots) with a few extra ingredients (green onion and halved cherry or grape tomatoes) but with a small amount of Caesar dressing instead of the "usual" coleslaw dressing (which I don't particularly like in the first place - I've found one brand of the premade I can tolerate and I've never been able to make one any better).
Why it never occurred to me to substitute a dressing I liked better I will never know.

Have you got some left? It looks a good combination to me. From your own garden or the farmer shops?
I would love some nice strawberries; when I was in Neumagen this week I ate some wonderful strawberry cake. The cake was so light it could fly.

unfortunately none of my own. even my biggest tomato plant doesn't have any blooms yet

I got my vegetable delivery today.

It had cauliflower, two different types of lettuce, snap beans, gold potatoes, onions, and more. Mom and I roasted the cauliflower in the oven, cooked some beans with one of the onions, and made potato salad with the gold potatoes. A feast!
