Robert Silverberg is a GREAT, but now somewhat overlooked writer. I recommend virtually all of his mature fiction.

The Sun Wolf and Starhawk Series by Barbara Hambly consisting of The Ladies of Mandrigyn, The Witches of Wenshar, and The Dark Hand of Magic is an open road special for $2.99 for the omnibus. (probably only valid for the US and maybe Canada though)

I highly recommend Barbara Hambly as an author and especially liked this series of hers. If you enjoy sword and sorcery with interesting characters and plot then you should have a look at this

There are several other open road deals on as well at the moment (probably today only and only in the US)
I haven't read any of these except the Katherine Kurtz book which I recommend if you haven't picked it up previously.
Check your libraries first as several have been discounted before.
Amazon links have been provided but most are available at kobo as well and possibly other stores

Sorry for the multiple posts but there are three more great deals from open road today.
All are multiple book sets and I have read and recommend all three sets.
These particular deals seem to only be available from amazon and google at the moment. Sale might be one day only but I'm not sure. Check your libraries as both the sets and the individual titles have been on sale previously.

The Lyra Novels (Shadow Magic, Daughter of Witches, The Harp of Imach Thyssel, Caught in Crystal, and The Raven Ring) by Patricia C. Wrede $3.99
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0092G1BOC

The Novels of the Jaran (Jaran, An Earthly Crown, His Conquering Sword, and The Law of Becoming) by Kate Elliott $3.99
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GH2G8BA

The Legends of Camber of Culdi Trilogy (Camber of Culdi, Saint Camber, and Camber the Heretic) by Katherine Kurtz $2.99

I've been reorganizing my wish lists on Amazon - always a fun time - and stumbled onto a surprise deal. About four years ago, I added Melissa F. Olson's Dead Spots to one of my lists; it's a book about Scarlett Bernard, a woman around whom the supernatural Does Not Work. As in, she projects a ten-foot circle around her, and if a vampire steps into it, he becomes a normal human while there. According to the blurb, she uses this ability to solve supernatural crimes.

Anyway, as I was checking it today, I noticed that there are two more books in the series - and buying all three at once confers a significant discount. Instead of the usual $4.99 each, the set of three is a flat $6.00. I've seen series discounts before on Amazon, but never this dramatic.

Note, all three individual books have been $1.00 within the past year, so they could be again if willing to wait...

They are now on my eReaderIq list.

Piers Anthony's Zanth #41 on Sale at Amazon US

Ghost Writer in the Sky by Piers Anthony is now on sale for $2.99. This is the lowest price on Amazon since publication (next lowest was $9.35)

Not his best book (at least by the reviews, I haven't read it yet), but a lesser book by Piers is better than a good book by many others (depending on how much punishment you can take)

Quote:
Two Ordinary People from Mundania travel to Xanth to defeat a rogue Night Colt in the latest in a beloved series from bestselling author Piers Anthony.

The Night Colt has one ambition: to deliver dreams to the deserving. Unfortunately, only Night Mares can take on this task, and the Colt has no hope of leading his own herd if he can’t get any practice. . . . So he’s struck a deal with a Mundane. During the hours when the Night Mares rest—dusk and dawn—the duo plants stories in the air, compelling the people of Xanth to enact them—whether they want to or not. Unwilling to participate in these fantasies, the princesses of Xanth, Dawn and Eve, come up with a plan to fight the menacing pair, but they’ll need the help of two unlikely heroes to succeed.

In Mundania, a mysterious painting entrances Ordinary People Tartan and Tara. But why do they each see something different when they look at it? They quickly learn that it’s not a painting after all, but a portal to a magical world. With nothing to lose, they climb through the portal into Xanth and are met with a plea to help stop the Night Colt and his ghost writer.

Tartan and Tara don’t hesitate to join the quest to save Xanth from the ultimate pun-tastrophe. Together with their new friends, they’ll begin a journey full of magic and romance—and, of course, puns—that will lead them to a long-lost prince, a beautiful dragoness, the goddess Isis, and a demon named Ted.

With rip-roaring humor and nonstop adventure, the newest addition to Piers Anthony’s popular Xanth series is sure to enchant fans of epic fantasy.

Ghost Writer in the Sky is the 41st book in the Xanth series, but you may enjoy reading the series in any order.

There's another of Mercedes Lackey's Valdemar Omnibuses in today's big deal at Amazon UK.

The Last Herald-Mage (Magic's Pawn, Magic's Promise, Magic's Price) is just £0.99 today.

.
A *VERY* good series of books. Much better then the recent teen-aged-angst-driven TV series. I've read all but the newest of the series (have to wait till they come down considerably in price).

Be warned, however. There are 31 books by my count in all the different trilogies, duologies, and quartets, plus 4 more in his being-written books that will be the chronological ending of the entire Shannara story.

I enjoyed most of the books, although his "jump 100 years and go thru the same sorts of things as before with the children/grandchildren/cousins of the last group of books" rubbed on me a couple of times, but not enough to want to stop reading his books.

And his Shannara universe series like The Voyage of the Jerle Shannara and The Dark Legacy of Shannara can be a little slow at times, but quite excellent.

So, highly recommended.

Six Wakes by Mur Lafferty $2.99 in US.

Kobo: https://www.kobo.com/us/en/ebook/six-wakes
Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Six-Wakes-Mur.../dp/B01CDDAETS

Just released this past Jan. I've heard good things, and it sounds interesting:

Quote:
A space adventure set on a lone ship where the clones of a murdered crew must find their murderer -- before they kill again.

It was not common to awaken in a cloning vat streaked with drying blood.

At least, Maria Arena had never experienced it. She had no memory of how she died. That was also new; before, when she had awakened as a new clone, her first memory was of how she died.
Maria's vat was in the front of six vats, each one holding the clone of a crew member of the starship Dormire, each clone waiting for its previous incarnation to die so it could awaken. And Maria wasn't the only one to die recently...
