X-link to the General Fiction thread for some literary speculative fiction works:

Pulitzer Prize-winning author Michael Chabon is the featured Amazon Kindle Gold Box Deal of the Day, and at least 3 sfnal titles of his are on sale for $1.99-$2.99, including his 2013 Mythopoeic Prize-winning YA fantasy novel, and an alternate history detective mystery novel reminiscent of Len Deighton's SS-GB, which, just so you know, has also dropped to just $1.99 in Canada, at least, and is an excellent read, which I found to be well worth the $2.99 I paid for it earlier this year, and now you're getting it even cheaper if you happened to miss it before.

One for Doctor Who fans.

Candy Jar Books are being generous again and they're making three titles in their Lethbridge-Stewart range of spin-off novels available for free over the Easter weekend at Amazon UK.

Lethbridge-Stewart: Times Squared - Rick Cross
Quote:
When Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart, his fiancee Sally Wright and nephew Owain Vine embark on a much-needed holiday in New York City, the last thing they expect to find is a puzzling mystery involving coma patients, a stranger from a distant land and a dark menace lurking in the bowels of the city's labyrinthine subway system.
Lethbridge-Stewart: Mind of Stone - Iain McLaughlin
Quote:
Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart has been remanded to Woodworms Scrubs Prison, and his team have no idea why. Secrecy surrounds his case, but his team barely have a chance to process anything before they are sent on a mission to Egypt.

Why does it seem like Lethbridge-Stewart is going out of his way to court trouble from the prison's most notorious inmates? And what does it have to do with well-known gangster Hugh Godfrey?

In the Ptolemaic Museum of Cairo, Anne Travers and her team are trying to uncover the mystery surrounding some very unusual stone statues.

One thing connects these events; the cargo transported by Colonel Pemberton and Captain Knight in August 1968.
Lethbridge-Stewart: Blood of Atlantis - Simon A Forward
Quote:
Could Atlantis really have arisen in the Aegean Sea?
Lethbridge-Stewart’s nephew, Owain Vine, and a group of eco-protestor friends, are attempting to oppose an operation undertaken by Rolph Vorster, a ruthless South African mining magnate with his own private army, who is out to harvest as much Atlantean riches as he can.

Lethbridge-Stewart, along with Anne Travers, is called in to investigate a missing Russian submarine that appears to be connected to Atlantis, recruiting the colourful eccentric archaeologist, Sonia Montilla, along the way. All the while, Captain Bugayev and an undercover Spetsnaz team are investigating the fate of their government’s missing submarine. A complication that could light a major fuse on the Cold War.

Meanwhile, Atlantis grows, and its reach is utterly inimical to human life

Thanks! They're also offering a non-fiction unofficial companion guide to some of the creative inspirations behind the series proper, which is available worldwide and DRM-free, to boot:

Connecting Who: Artificial Beings by Peter Gresham @ Amazon

The Cybermen, the Weeping Angels, the Daleks… the artificial beings of Doctor Who are some of the most iconic in science fiction. But what inspired them?

Connecting Who traces their origins back to the myths, folktales and real events of history; the teachings of religion; not to mention the wealth of other sci-fi writing from which Doctor Who has drawn.

Peter Grehan has been an avid fan since Doctor Who’s very first broadcast. With him as your guide, explore the wealth of material which lies behind the longest running science fiction series of all time.

Before anyone else starts salivating (as I did), that 99p is for EACH title, with the exception of the one listed.

Now: Who's going to do my laundry?

Thanks for that - I grabbed Death's End (I really must get around to reading them sometime soon) and himself grabbed the Paul Cornell. The jury is still out on some of the others...

X-link to the DRM-free thread for the new Humble Bundle:

Humble Book Bundle Save the Unicorns presented by Mythopoeic & Nebula Award-winning author Peter S. Beagle is chock-full of unicorn-related titles, including backlist and new works from Beagle himself, Jane Yolen, Poul Anderson, Bruce Coville, Patricia A. McKillip, Alan Dean Foster, and more. It looks to be excellent value for money, even if there weren't already some stuff that's been on my wishlist for ages.

Bargain @ $0.99-$3.99/£0.99-£2.99 in Canada & the UK from Hodder & Stoughton, who have the legal rights to the late Mary Stewart's (ISFDB, Wikipedia) estate (not available in the US, and there has been previous discussion on MR about the apparently pirated omnibus edition called “Legacy”, which keeps popping up in various stores):

The entirety of her classic Merlin quartet, plus the 5th tie-in novel, and some assorted literary novels/romantic suspenses which ISFDB seems to think have sfnal elements (probably gothic). I checked on these a couple of months ago, and they were all at $8.99 CAD, so this is dirt cheap. Linkage goes to Kobo CA, but should be the same price at the other national retailers.

The specific titles in her Merlin sequence are (for linkage for her mysteries, please see the Mystery megathread where a bunch of other Hodder & Quercus authors are on equal deep-discount sale):

They've also a slew of Tad Williams (ISFDB, Wikipedia) fantasy on sale for the same prices (UK only, someone else has his North American rights): linkage for the lot.

And Octavia Butler's Seed to Harvest: Wild Seed, Mind of My Mind, Clay's Ark, and Patternmaster for $3.99 at Amazon.com

And a bunch of collections of Robert Sheckley short stories for $0.99. One of them collects some of the stories from the other books and adds some additional stories. These are also at Amazon.com. I won't link them.
