Except the old car is long gone to the wrecking yard and sadly, no one would be able to see a big sign in the house from out on the road. Finally, no ... I wish I could just shove more stuff into or onto any of those places ... but it would be much more work to move any or all of it there. Ricky, please do not use power tools right now. The stuff on the porch is on YOUR property, right? I really can't see how the Evil Developer can ask you to do anything about it.

He can fine me $400 a day for having a messy porch. It's too late anyway. I used the chop saw, got the porch as clean as I could (it looks ok from the road and that's all that counts).

The plumber came about 5:30 ... and told me that the elements in the water heater (which I had replaced less than a year ago) are shot. The poor repair was not done by this plumber (I like him and I like the company he works for), but in any event, he won't be able to get it fixed until tomorrow.

I was sort of hoping for a shower tonight (because I am really grubby from all the cleaning I did today), and luckily Teresa said it would be ok for me to shower at her house.

One of the cats is missing .... I think he got into the garage somehow, and then out when I had to open the garage to put some of the stuff from the porch in there. I hope he's ok .... but I won't know until he either turns up in the house, or gets tired of being locked in the garage ... or I see him wandering around outside.

Have I mentioned in the last few hours how much I HATE living in Horseshoe Bay, Texas???
