I got my sister's presents last night. Today my sister bought our present for our mother and we just ordered my father's presents, I just hope the desk charger for his phone will arrive in time.

Now I'm going to decorate the headboard of my bed with Christmas tree lights. Not because of Christmas but since I moved my bed I need a bit of extra lighting.

Hmmmm -- very clever idea! I may have to copy that plan. Tiny white lights would just do the trick!

It's looking really nice, it might even be just enough light to read by. I used a string with 80 LED lights, there a bit yellowish, so nice and mellow.

Time to go to bed now, I've got to work tomorrow and I absolutely don't feel like it, it's been a long week and I just want to sleep late!

International Relations sounds really interesting - I love studying law, but it's very territorial, particularly in Scotland. I'd have to do at least a year's conversion to practice anywhere else.
Oh, I have to do it myself anyway. Now looking back on the notes I made in class, all the printed papers, the books, other materials... I feel dizzy. But I love the way they use Latin in Law. Pacta sunt servanda. Rebus sic stantibus. Persona non grata. Don't they sound very mystical?

IR sounds interesting, indeed

@ Rumpelteazer - the little lights on the headboard sounds nice and like badgoodDeb I will copy that idea, too.

Right now, looking at all the bags on the floor and thinking I really need to get with wrapping the gifts.

Maybe not. I think a cup of hot chocolate and M&M's sound better right now. I will think about wrapping gifts tomorrow.

Using the Reading List plug-in for Calibre to set up various reading lists so I'm ready for the 2012 reading challenge. I have made three reading lists: Ongoing Series, Series Waiting List, and Stand Alone Books. I've done the Ongoing Series (13 series) and Series Waiting List (20 series) so now I'm going to go through my TBR pile to sort which stand alone books I like to read first.

This reminded me of a story my friend told me. He works in a shop near our hometown and was talking to one of his colleagues about something in relation to a purchase one of the customers had just made. Both of them are law students, and he mentioned the principle of "caveat emptor". Another of his colleagues asked him what that meant, so he explained it meant "buyer beware".

To which she came out with: "Jonny, you must be thinking all the time."

It... was hilarious.

That's great. I have a beer in hand, and we are feeling Christmassy for the first time this year as my sister in-law, who we all love, has come to stay (the only normal member of the family apart from my BH). So here's to being happy

Y'all can laugh at me...but....I had my first Starbucks' hot chocolate yesterday. It was the best hot chocolate I've ever had, so I got curious as to how they make it. A bit of Google-fu, and now I know WHY it was the best hot chocolate I've ever had.... It probably had about a million calories! They use chocolate ganache (made with heavy cream, sugar, and bittersweet chocolate), dissolved in steamed milk, and then add whipped cream.

I'm thinking it's a very good thing that we live 45 minutes from the nearest Starbucks...not only will I not weigh a million pounds, but I'll be able to avoid setting off my low tolerance level for chocolate. Wow.
