I'm quite new to MR, so I'm just figuring out how to navigate through the site

I have an exam tomorrow, so I'm sitting on the bed surrounded by miscellaneous bits of paper and generally feeling nervous.

I just wrote a blog about perdido street station, the first in a series of thirty book posts.

And I'm listening to my boyfriend playing fallout: new vegas.

It was a good thing I read the plot summary of Andromaque before going to see the play, because Greek mythology isn't very familiar to an Asian. I enjoyed it, especially Hermione and Oreste.

Exam was in International Private Law, paper was pretty horrible. Not too sure how I've done, certainly didn't go very well but I've hopefully passed. I've got a good cause application in because I have a problem with my writing hand at the moment, but we'll see. It was a mistake to pick that elective though, I've been bored to tears all semester.

OT: right now I'm about to clean my flat, because we have an inspection this afternoon, then I'm going shopping and out for dinner to celebrate the end of revision

I see you live in Vietnam - do you study there or elsewhere? I live within the EU so our course mainly focuses on that kind of law. If you live within a common law system there will be a LOT of cases to learn. Otherwise, pretty much the same as any other law subject - do the reading, and go for depth of understanding rather than breadth.

Sorry if that's not too helpful - if there's anything more specific you'd like to know ask away!

The letting agency we rented the flat from. I'm not entirely sure why it's necessary, given they left the place a tip when we got it. And we've had mice. Thankfully, all went well.

They're adorable aren't they? Mine's a wee old man now (he's fourteen) but he's still really cuddly.

Just came home from my children's Holiday concert at school. My twinlets performed a skit w/ the band and then played the steel drums and my eldest sang with the choir (including a duet). We were at school ALL day and we are exhausted.

I am so incredibly proud of them!!!

@ MissImpossible: well, I study here. Law is not my major - International Relations is - but Private (and public) international law is pretty important, you see, can't do IR if you don't have an idea about international law, and besides... I like studying Law.

I don't have any specific question about the Private, but did you study the Public one? We're about to have the final - orally. And I have some small questions...

I just bought a case of cat food.

It's cheaper (using subscribe-and-save) to buy it at Amazon, AND I don't have to haul it home. (No shipping charges with subscribe-and-save, plus I have Amazon Prime anyway. So my heavy stuff lately is being carried by the UPS guy and not by me.)

Sadly, I haven't studied any Public International Law - it was an optional first year module, but I took something else. I'd love to help, I'm sorry I can't - if you take any other law courses I'll try to help if I possibly can. I'm sure you'll be fine, though.

International Relations sounds really interesting - I love studying law, but it's very territorial, particularly in Scotland. I'd have to do at least a year's conversion to practice anywhere else.
