So once again, leaving aside the issue of the relative sneakiness of chickens...

What makes you think, once the Colonel has been subdued through whatever means, that e.g. a crockpot lid would prove ineffective at keeping the Colonel in the pot?

You are correct that it is unlikely that The Colonel would be able to get out of the crockpot once sealed in by the chickens, but I'm not sure that chickens would be able to get The Colonel into a crockpot.

I must inform you that chicken noodle soup does have real chicken in it, just not massive amounts. Chicken noodle soup is delicious and filling, and due to the low amount of chicken needed, can greatly extend our chicken supply.

BTW, if The Colonel was going to be cooked in a pressure cooker than no chickens would be needed to hold the lid closed. But chickens would have to hold the lid closed if you cook The Colonel in a crockpot since crockpots only have a regular lid with no latch.

BTW, if The Colonel was going to be cooked in a pressure cooker than no chickens would be needed to hold the lid closed. But chickens would have to hold the lid closed if you cook The Colonel in a crockpot since crockpots only have a regular lid with no latch.

Some of the newer crockpots come with latches for transport.

I haven't admitted that we can't catch chickens. But why not extend our current supplies, that way we don't have to go out chicken catching as often.

I don't have to expend much effort to catch a chook. My local grocery stores have plenty of chooks available for purchase, as do most fast food restaurants.
