I didn't say that computers started then. I had had one for 10 years by then. I'm just subtracting 15 years, in my wondering if the child will *care* 15 years from now.

Yeah, usenet is still around. But it's not the biggest, hippest thing.

Nevermind -- go ahead and save this thread, H_T. Dollars to donuts you won't be able to find it in 15 years anyway!!

I would have spelled it "Emilee" (if I had thought of it) but of course, it's what ever Mrs. H_T *wants* it to be!

It is pronounced Emily. I verified on several sites and books.

It is the American spelling of Emily so we can assume that it originally started off simply misspelled.
