I once (briefly) dated (OK, we made out in the car a few times...) a girl named Joanne Elizabeth Catherine Marie St. Pierre-Garlinski. We just called her "Easy J".

last night was odd. My wife left me with the new baby and went to her baby shower the nurses held for her in the hospital. I couldn't use the restroom in her room because it was connected to another room and a pregnant woman was in there using that and the shower. I couldn't leave because I had the baby and you cant leave them in the room alone or take them out. I couldn't get a nurse for this nonemergency "they called it" because all of the ones with nothing to do were eating cake at the baby shower.

They thought it was precious when they came back and saw me rocking Emily back and forth with tears rolling down my face.

Hey this is English we're talking about anything goes. and besides with a name like Amelie_Turd no one will be worried about that "A" anyway!

I was wondering about that, too. Perhaps: Emmily, Emmili, Emili, Emyli, Emly, Emmeli, Emmely, Emli, Emmyli, ...
But why not just stay with the usual way of spelling it - that way she won't have to correct it every time other people spell it wrong. If it's pronounced the same way, why spell it differently?

Wife decided on Emylee.

*shrug* spelling doesn't matter to me too much. I generally misspell their names on all their cakes regardless.
