It does look pretty good. Actually it wasn't the boot screen I used, it was the cover of the Kindle DX User's Guide. I'd be curious to see that shot if you can get it.

A hack. I'm using Arial Rounded MT Bold. The hack is easy and only has to be done once then all books will use the new fonts. You can substitute your favorite fonts. I like sans serif when using readers. See the following thread:

I'll open the Kindle DX User's Guide and take a photo tomorrow and post it.

I know the K2s had a problem with screens after they first came out, and I had to have mine replaced twice to get a good one. I hope they are not having a similar problem with the KDXG. Apparently I got a good one the first time around.

Here is the photo. I couldn't seem to get the lighting correct, but you should be able to see the quality of the screen, which has darker black than the photo indicates.
