I don't see any specific spikes in the servers' logs indicating a problem. It's still possible that the connection between your side and our datacenter (located in Canada) was experiencing some troubles or packet losses. I am going to be around more frequently again and will keep an eye on this thread.

If you experience a problem again, can you write down the time along with your timezone? Also, if you know how to ping a host (ping www.mobileread.com) or do a traceroute, please don't hesitate to post the output here (in a traceroute, you may remove the first hops to protect your privacy).

No problem, though recent experience has seen the site returned back to its 'normal' speed of operation .....

It's quite possible that the slow down was caused by some connectivity issues to our datacenter in Canada.

I too no longer am experiencing any more problems! Did the power lines in Canada finally thaw out?

A lot of the time the slowdowns are not because of the datacenter or the forum, but by stuff like Google analytics. Addblock Plus for Firefox works well at removing the adverts and helping speed up MR.
