Calibre will save your sanity, not to mention your ebooks. You'll find the support forum a few boards down from here.

Same here. They mean unread books which is ridiculous as mine are all read. Open the book in the reader click on the last page arrow and go back to the library and the little pink icon is gone.

I think this is a small but definate improvement with the Reader software. Scrolling now works as expected, Auto-delivery of periodicals finally showed up, and all around seems a little more snappier than before.

I did say open the book in the reader but I meant in the "reader library software" then click on the last page and the pink icon will be gone when you go back.
Yes, the scrolling feature now works, whoopee. Sony makes nice products but they sure are weak in the software dept.

I found one feature in version 3.2 of Reader Library that should come in handy for those who prefer to use Calibre for organizing and transferring ebook files. In Edit > Preferences there's a box you can uncheck to prevent Reader Library from launching automatically when you plug in your device, and it seems to work. So now you shouldn't have to rename Reader Library.exe to something else or play around with the registry to prevent that from happening.

I have been reluctant to update to this latest version. There was some suggestion, somewhere I can't find right now, that this version might not allow transfer of LRX ebooks to the reader, and that it asked you to download the ePub version. Can someone confirm that you can or can't transfer LRX ebooks to your reader after this upgrade, thanks.
the LRX transfer issue is NOT tied to the software version. It's tied to the authorization of the Reader.

If you have to reformat and reauthorize the Reader, you won't be able to transfer or open an LRX content on the Reader after authorization. New authorizations will only work with secure EPUB, LRF, etc. Not with LRX.

Hope that helps.

Thanks doreenjoy, I think I'll try the upgrade to reader library 3.2.

Nice. I just checked, and you're right. That was one of the biggest annoyances I had with Reader Library. I wonder if they fixed all the problems I had with syncing?
