It would be nice to have a snow day once in a while.

I feel guilty staying home from work on nice days like this.

Stupid Seattle...we have had the most boring winter ever. It's been nothing but rainy and cloudy for weeks. I need to move to the east coast again, where you get REAL winters!

we've had ski seasons like that. one year the joke was handing the little kids life jackets because of the water hazard at the top of the lift

Snow in Pasadena, Maryland, after two snowstorms that were only days apart;

That's over three feet of snow.

I'm just a little bit north of Seattle (SE of Mt. Vernon) and we had over 3 feet of snow last year - couldn't get our 4wd truck out of our driveway for over 3 weeks! I'm perfectly happy with the mild winter this year (even though I do love snow), and I really feel for everyone having to deal with such extreme weather conditions.

I grew up on the Olympic Peninsula, where we definitely got some doozies - then spent several years in Boston, where every year winter meant snow. The last few years I spent in Bellingham, where we also got plenty of real winters.

I was told by Seattle locals that it's actually really unusual though for Seattle itself to get much of a winter. I hope they are wrong, or I will have to move.

We never saw snow the 3 years I lived in Seattle.

I just ran to check out the window... yep, still no snow. I think I saw a cloud though....

KindleKitten, I heard that last night on the 11:00 news. They said it was currently snowing in 49 states, the only one out of the loop was Hawaii.

I'm flying into NJ on Monday and they're expecting another 2-5 inches that day! On top of the 3' they already have.

I heard the same thing on our local news. They said it was very unusual for Hawaii not to have snow on the mountains. The weatherman even called the weather service in Hawaii right before his TV report to make sure it was true and they said definitely no snow there.

Hawai'i was the only state yesterday that did not have snow on the ground. Wisconsin was the only one that wasn't going nuts from the farking winter.

We all did that last week.

We haven't gotten nearly the amount yall have, but goodness, you'd think we had from how much we freak out here. It's so unusual that as soon as we hear of snow or ice coming our way Walmart and Kroger are ransacked and if you are a day later-forget the rice, bread, milk, popcorn, candles, etc... I think we're still shellshocked from the ice storm we got in 1994-no power for several weeks and super cold!
It's kinda funny to watch the responce to snow in the forecast.
