I'm sorry that members have been upset; which was certainly not the intention. The moderators are discussing the matter and taking members' comments on board.
I personally will endeavour to make sure that links are posted in future.

I will move this thread to the feedback section, as suggested.

Thanks Patricia (and the other mods). Feedback that our suggestions are being taken into account is much appreciated.

Thank you, Bilbo. Feedback is useful and helps us improve. We moderators have agreed that it's a good idea to provide links in future, if this situation arises again. Thanks for your help.

I know I'm new here, and I'm not the poster who posed the question in two forums... but the first thought that occured to me was that the question was asked because the poster wondered if any of the Sony readers could read aloud, but because the Sony reader models are divided into two forums, the question was asked in both so that it would apply to all models?

Sorry, that was a really poorly worded sentence LOL

On behalf of the entire team I apologize. You are right - the user who posted the duplicate thread was new and it would have been helpful to explain to him nicely why one of his threads was closed. And a link would have been appropriate, too.

My apologies also to you. This is a different situation as the one above, and of course everyone is encouraged to start new discussions even if similar discussions have previously been held.

Cheers,
Alex

Keep in mind, folks, that a LOT of work goes on behind the scenes on most forums. The larger the forum, the more work required that most members never see. When you've got 20 spam posts, 2 spam accounts sending PMs to random users and threads to move/fix all over the place, things can get a little overwhelming... especially when you're not getting paid for it. So, maybe cut the mods some slack, eh? They're here for the love of the forum and to help it keep going, not because they like the position of servant in roleplays.
