Me too, most of the time—but that one art history Substack makes little sense without the images! In all other cases, I'm happier with just the text

As an alternative to Pocket, I use EpubPressX, a fork from EpubPress, available in the Chrome Web Store (EpubPress itself isn't available anymore in the Chrome Web Store).
It has all the advantages of EpubPress (see post # 1) + it has an option to include or exclude images.

To all users of EpubPress (and others), I recommend giving EpubPressX a try.

Thanks for this suggestion. Doesn't seem to be available for Firefox (yet)?

I added EpubPress to Firefox a while back and it still seems to work.

Just as an aside, EpubPress is still available in the Chrome webstore (see the link above).

FireFox EpubPress - Read the web offline

Chrome EpubPress - Read the web offline

Other note is that EpubPress has not been updated in several years while EpubPressX has more recent updates but there are no releases or packages on the GitHub page.

EpubPressX is not available as an extension for Firefox, as far as I know.
There is an online version, but I didn't use it.

When I click on the link you mention (Chrome EpubPress), it says:
"This extension is not available, because it doesn't follow the best practices for Chrome extensions."
So, the extension of EpubPress is not available anymore in the Chrome Web Store.

EpubPressX is an option for Chrome users, but their github page shows a request for a Firefox version under 'open issues' with no response to date, so it's not looking too promising for those of us using Firefox.
