- Identifiers
- Convert
- Restart
- Get books
- Start Content server
- Schedule news download
- Sort

In the next update I will set the path correctly for some plugin icons.
I just found that Ebook Translator, for instance, looks for custom icons in a /images subfolder.

Yes, I've been thinking about that, it's not a bad addiction I guess. I can only hope Kovid doesn't get too annoyed with my frequent updates.

Just asking, why png files? Isn't it possible with pure svg files? Or Calibre doesn't support svg for icons?

well, I'm not using vector image editors, but I see svg icons in calibre source (default icons) so yes it's possible

If I'd like to use my own custom svg icon set for personal use, how to do that?. How to add custom icon-theme set to Calibre (without requesting to Kovid to include in official set and only then downloading from there)?

actually you don't need to assemble an icon theme for personal use, you can just place the images you want to replace in Calibre resources folder.

On windows that would be

Code:

%APPDATA%\calibre\resources\images

or

Code:

%UserProfile%\appdata\Roaming\calibre\resources\images

That's what I was doing up until recently but eventually I decided to make this pack

BTW, the first icon pack used svg images and was intended for Linux:

calibre does not support SVG icons, they are a massive performance hit. Loading SVG is orders of magnitude slower than PNG, there is absolutely no good reason for application icons to be in SVG. A high res PNG works just fine and saves lots of energy. SVG icons have to actually be rendered in to a raster graphic before they can be displayed.

Thanks for the info I'm experimenting with svg files then converting them to high res PNG with Inkscape
