Replacement for Kindle (books and comics) - Page 2

I've got a Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e for comics / Libby / Wikipedia. I will probably hold onto it for the foreseeable future, as I imagine it will be a good awhile before a color e-ink screen can match the vibrancy of a Super AMOLED display. It would be very hard to go back after that; my comics look absolutely gorgeous on it.

Color eink will never match LCD or OLED because at best either about 4000 dark shades/hues/colours needing front light or 4000 washed out shades.
OLED/LCD is 32,000 for rubbish panels and 16,000,000 approx or more for decent ones.
The eink cell is only black, white and 14 shades of grey. Colour also reduces the 300 dpi to either 150 x 150 or 100 x 300.

Some completely different technology not based on current eink would be needed.

I use Nova3 color. It is not perfect but good enough for comics in color. I like actually that it is not as bright as on ipad but it is more close to book pictures. I tried read on ipad mini 2 and it doesn’t feel “bookish” enough. I know how it sounds but it is what it is. Sometimes i read on ipad pro 12.9 because of size. For some reason I found Air Note2 works better for note taking than for reading.

An e-ink device like a Kindle for books, a tablet (iPad, android, etc.) for comics, pdf, etc.
