@VelvetElvis: That was for Lung Bing's error not yours. Yours is a permission denied. You need to to figure out what is blocking calibre from accessing the library. If its not file permissions it will likley be an antivirus or filesync program or similar.

I have the same issue. Polished the book and now can't delete original or new epub.

No system changes or software installed since last Calibre update.

AttributeError:'DeleteAction' object has no attribute
'_remove_format_from_ids'

I installed the previous version of Calibre and all is working fine.

The remove_format_from_ids is fixed in source, and I suspect there'll be a minor update in a day or two.

Calibre 6.7.1 is now available.

I came across this issue just now. Yep, aware a fix is in place and being pushed out soon. (not seeing it here yet)

You can still delete book formats from within the "Edit Metadata" page, without encountering this error.

If you're waiting for an update notification in-program, it doesn't show up for minor updates. Go to the website.

That has always bugged me. Kovid only issues a point release when there is a serious bug that needs fixing right away and those are the only updates for which there is no notification.

I once opened a ticket requesting optional notifications for minor updates, but Kovid decided to keep it as-is.

I used to get an RSS notify for minor realises, but that stopped working when TPTB decided that since no one was making a quid from RSS they would kill off support for it in browsers, mail clients etc.

I tried Feedly and a couple of other RSS clients but they didn't suit me.

Perhaps someone knows what this does?

Which ones? I just use the one built into Thunderbird, but I've use QuiteRSS in the past and liked it. The Vivaldi browser (Chromium-based, but heavily modified) also has built-in reader.

Can't recall, some have been abandoned I suspect. Not interested in installing another browser or a Cretaceous period mail client for my simple needs. Besides many of the sites that used to have RSS feeds have switched to the _____-verses, which I avoid like the dreaded lurgi and the plague.

Not a serious bug, a trivial bug that is nonetheless likely to generate lots of bug report spam for me

I don't feel its fair to spam the millions of calibre users with update notifications for updates I publish to make my own life easier.

Any actually serious bug that would threaten user data or core functionality (as opposed to preventing one action in the sub menu of one button working as in the latest case) would get a proper release, with notifications.
