Yes, that would make more sense. When I had only one monitor I had it in portrait orientation since that made web browsing nicer for me, and also editing with eclipse. When I got the second one I put it to the right of the main monitor and left it in landscape orientation. So the second landscape monitor is sort of an auxiliary monitor.

The main / portrait monitor is 1920 x 1200, or 1.6; I don't know what its aspect ratio is using your : notation. I should look for a monitor that's 1920 x 1440, or higher whatever it might be.

I use two monitors with Sigil. The main programme on the big 1920 X 1080 16:9 monitor and I have the preview window on a smaller 1024 X 768 for the preview window.

One day I will get two the same size...maybe. Works for me.

Oh, ok. Interesting. No, that's not how it is on Mac. Any window detached from Sigil disappears (no matter whether it's on top of anything) until focus is restored to Sigil.

I put my 34" 4K monitor as "Single HD", which as have others have noted seems to undersell things a bit .
