What could be tried is Calibre 4.23 portable and DeDRM 6.8.1 (I think that's the version) in case the problem is with DeDRM 7.2.1.

Tried removing and getting again, and then converting with Calibre again, and then trying to unpack, but it's just not working.

I used Kindle version 1.117 to download the book.

Although now kindle auto-updates to the latest version.

Can Calibre 4.23 and DeDRM 6.8.1 Open KFX-ZIP files?

That book is very expensive so I tried using the free sample. It imported into calibre as AZW4 format and the "Extract PDF" function of the KindleUnpack plugin was able to successfully obtain a PDF from it.

There may be a problem with that particular book from Amazon or with your setup. If you are using the 32-bit version of calibre instead of 64-bit that could be a factor since the book is fairly large (63MB).

I recommend that you either disable KFX downloads in the latest version of Kindle for PC or revert to an older version of Kindle for PC (1.17) and disable automatic updates. See the first post in the thread Dealing with Kindle for PC/Mac 1.19 and KFX in calibre for details.

The presence of a KFX-ZIP file is a sign that KFX DRM removal was unsuccessful. It is not possible to remove DRM from KFX files downloaded using recent versions of Kindle for PC.
