As I said - Long time since I did this…
If a restore doesn't work out, then assuming the library on the NAS still exists then adding its contents into a fresh library should work. I guess I prefer a clean slate rather than starting with something of questionable provenance. BR |

'With you around, life wasn't meant to be that easy, my child; but take courage: it can be delightful.' Apologies to Shaw lovers, and thanks to himself.
Do what Jon suggests (database restore), if that doesn't work out, do as I suggest (library rebuild) BR |

1. Copy the library from the NAS to a local directory
2. Run Calibre 3. Click the library icon and choose switch/create library 4. Point Calibre to the local library 5. Click the library icon and select Library maintenance > Restore database 6. Click the library icon and select Library maintenance . Check library After you've restored and made any corrections, check that everything seems to be OK. If it is OK, you are done and the NAS can be used to keep your library backed up. If it's not OK, go back to the library on the NAS and create a new library based on the structure of the existing library and then import all the eBook from the NAS and go from there. |

I went through the process again, and the library check shows no problems.
