Basically yes, (not testes, some of the steps might be quite hard to complete):

Install NiLuJe python: snapshots
Install matplotlib (maybe can be done easily with pip?)
ssh/create KUAL command to run the script
Modify plot colors to use Kindle's eink grayscale
Use built-in image viewer/fbink to display the image

Maybe I'll try to implement that during upcoming holidays.

I don't ship pip because I wasn't sure it'd be a great idea, but it's on the radar for stuff to look into (might be as simple as using an ensurepip build, at least for Python 3 ;p).

In the meantime, vendoring it should work, if it's pure Python
