Received it yesterday--just after my husband had sent a very polite inquiry to Chapters to see if they had any more tracking information available.
Funny thing is that it was delivered by UPS--even though the tracking information indicated that it was accepted by Canadian Post and to be transferred to USPS.

Pretty happy with it so far--when I get a chance, I'll post my thoughts on the Aura One owner's thread.

Glad to hear it arrived! I just ordered mine today. Do you know when your husband ordered it? Just trying to get an idea of time frame for delivery after ordering....

When I was thinking of buying an Aura One, I would have ordered it from Chapters. Also, the exchange rate makes it cheaper.

Husband ordered it on 12/20 (or right around there)--knew at the time it wouldn't make it all the way to CA by Christmas--but I was willing to wait. Received the shipping confirmation e-mail with a ship date on 12/23, and made it to California on 1/3--so a total of 10 days shipping time and about 2 weeks from the date it was ordered.

But Blossom is right--should be much more timely delivery speed now that the holidays are over. And as Bearymore posted his/hers only took 4 days to arrive in California. So hopefully yours will come more quickly!

My opinion--it's worth the wait! And JS Wolf is correct about the exchange rate--amount charged to my credit card including shipping was $186 US which is a nice savings over ordering from the US Kobo website.

I can't wait!

I wanted it the minute I heard about it, but then it sold out quick. And then there were the battery issues & sleepcover issues, so I thought waiting to see if those were addressed would be a good idea. But I kept missing the window of availability! Heck, I'll still be watching both Kobo & Chapters/Indigo sites for the official sleepcover, but I have a cheap cover for when the reader arrives at least.

My Aura HD still works, but I'm older, my close vision is not what it was even though I've always been near-sighted and I *know* I'll like the larger screen!

Mine shipped today, we shall see how long it takes. So the Kobo price of $229 is in US $$, not Canadian?

If you are ordering from the Kobo US website (which it will likely default to if you're browsing to the Kobo website from the US) then yes it is in US$. With the current value of the Canadian$ vs US$ there is a nice saving to be had from ordering from a Canadian store (i.e. Chapters).

Cool, thanks. The charge hasn't posted yet so I don't know what the total is going to be, but definitely under $200 US.
