How do you MOSTLY hold your e-reader while reading on a table? - Page 2

With my old K3 I always held it, whether reading in bed or in when sitting in a chair.

With my current reading device, a Win8 8" tablet, I most often read with the device on a table or, when in bed, on a pillow block with the tablet in "landscape" mode displaying two vertical columns. The tablet's case provides the usual "stand" function to hold the tablet reasonably upright.

I'm using laying down in bed or a couch when reading. I use the ipad at the table.

I have someone else who holds it for me, since I am independently wealthy and cannot abide engaging in such a mundane task.

I prop it up on whatever's on the table. At work, I prop it up against my lunch bag. At home, I prop it up against whatever junk's laying on the table, usually a trivet about half an inch thick.

I love both reading and eating enough that I would never shortchange my enjoyment of one by combining it with the other. They both require my undivided attention.

Both my ereaders have Tuff-Luv cases with built-in stands which are used when at the table. Resting them against anything else tends to produce an interesting demonstration of how a polished table reduces friction ... suddenly.

I have a great wooden stand for reading at the table. My cover only allows for landscape viewing and I like portrait viewing better.

My cat however loves my Galaxy Tab cover (the one made by Samsung) and any time it's on the table without being on the stand the cat is immediately on the Galaxy Tab.

It's like a cat place holder. Anywhere I put it, the cat is instantly on it. I have no idea why he likes that texture so much.

Kindle or phone, in my hand. iPad, propped up with its cover. It seems like I'd have to hunch over to read with it flat on a table.
