One thing with your description is that I wonder if you inserted the card properly. There's been at least one report where someone went through these steps and it didn't work. They opened it again and discovered the card hadn't been pushed all the way in. Once it was pushed completely in, it worked perfectly.

It booted up until the part where I am already downloading updates via WIFI then it says "Network Error" then it went blank (totally blank as if no power) but the Glowlight can be turned on and off. I took the SD card out, reinserted it properly, clicked reset, but the blank didn't go away. So I took it out again, but this time I re-inserted the old SD Card, clicked reset, then it booted up fine.

I might try Ken's idea of using SanDisk instead of Transcend though, I will have to get one first.

Just to give you guys an update. I was able to buy a Sandisk and did everything again. It worked! I was able to upgrade the Kobo already BUT, my computer still won't recognize my Kobo :'( I guess it has something to do with the USB connector already or something. But it's okay since the SD card slot is still perfect.

P.S. I am giving this to my mom since she surprised me with a Voyage. Will receive it tomorrow. I might have to do something with the power "slider" not working though.

Keep the Glo in a case that wakes and sleeps the device, and you won't have to worry about the power slider. That's what I do.

This case is truly excellent.

Be careful with that. You have to keep powered your Kobo. The momento it goes off, you have to send it for repairing (I had to do it).

I never power down my Kobos. I have done a pin hole reset when needed.

(The reason my sliders don't work is because I opened them, which you're not supposed to do )

If it runs out of battery, plugging it into a computer usually starts it after a few minutes.

Thanks for this suggestion. I'mma check it out and see if I can ship it here. I can see that the power slider of Kobo is really fragile. They should do something about it. Why can't they just use a button for it?

That's the same style case I have for my Glos and it really is a very nice and inexpensive case. It's very tight-fitting, hardly adds any extra bulk to the reader at all. I had to find one in navy blue though, so it doesn't have that design on it, this one.

I have a Gymle cover too. Much flimsier than the leather one I linked. The colors are more limited for the leather, yes. But the quality is superior to all the pleather ones I have.

Note: I got a pink and an orange. Both colors are actually much brighter than the photos shown. The pink is a very light pink. The orange is bold and bright.
