Maybe, but what use is Ghost writing on a resume if you can't admit to it without the other person wondering about your moral code? I mean someone might think that if you will help someone cheat at homework what else might you not scruple to do? And plagiarism is an even more serious thing outside the classroom. I'm not saying the OP would do such, just that someone reading such ghost writing on their resume might think that they might not stop short of it, and right then your reputation is damaged even if you haven't done anything legally wrong.

So THEN it would be just like prostitution to you?

Or if you leave the potential-cheater-student out of it, and consider the two parties he was referring to are the writer and the essay company, then it is indeed a perfectly honest transaction.

So THEN it would be just like prostitution to you?

Or are you totally ignoring the obvious, and far more generally accurate, connotation of prostitution, as something that the prostitute is RARELY proud of, is typically ashamed of, and something they are doing out of some form of desperation rather than because it's the life they'd choose?

If the OP views this as a 'dilemma' then they know very well this work will make them feel like a crack-whore, and they know why.

I thought ghost-writing was supposed to be kept secret, otherwise, why the "ghost?" If was open knowledge, the ghost would just have their name attached to the work as well, and they would not be a ghost.

If so, even the most up-and-up ghost writer isn't supposed to go listing all the folks who claimed to write their own stuff but didn't.

Not sure what point I'm trying to make here.
Maybe it's that this MIGHT BE a stepping stone for ghost writing, if you consider ghost writing to be unethical:
http://www.forbes.com/sites/cherylsn...iting-ethical/

Maybe it's a way to see how comfortable you are with earning your living doing things you have an ethical problem with.

Maybe it's a stepping stone for prostitution as well. Or covert ops. Or politics.

I said "can be", not "is always". No need to get worked up and shout. And yeah, I know honest sex workers who aren't ashamed and have no reason to be. Not everyone's a crack-whore stereotype.

I remain deeply sceptical as to whether students ever pay online essay-writing mills as a way to obtain examples of academic writing to critique. There is not exactly a shortage of freely available academic writing to read. Just a shortage of original essays for cheaters to submit without being caught by automated plagiarism detection services.

It was just the laziest way to apply emphasis. Didn't mean to shout.

The Happy Hooker stereotype is far less representative, in any place in the US, at least, other than Nevada.

Also, morality and mores and feminism aside, you say "sex workers." That term usually includes porn performers, phone sex operators and go-go dancers. Not the same thing as "prostitute", especially as analogy or metaphor, as was the case here.
