Ok, I did it! On my new Kobo Aura HD with 3.1.1, which I just got today. Then I did it again, turning off the changes to the bottom margin. However, all that "commented" stuff is still there, just not being used. Is it better to erase all that?

I don't know if it's the patcher or the firmware, but opening a book will sometimes lead to a "loading page" blank page....which is what happened with my Glo when I went to 2.8.1 (which caused me to go back to 2.6.1). I hope that does not continue to be an issue.

Yes, I am very glad I did the patch, so that I can fix the weight on my side loaded font, because Georgia on the Aura HD looks terrible, although it looks fine on the Glo!

Well, I upgraded and patched my Kobo Glo, and the same issue with books not opening is occurring.

That is strange. I have had no problem opening my books. Most of my books side loaded.(if that makes a difference) I also reboot my glo after each firmware update. Are all books doing this?

No, I had it happen to 2 different books on the Aura HD. Only 1 that I tried has done it on the Glo, a book I just bought today from Amazon for my son. I went through and did the checks in edit book, made sure it was A-OK, and it's still doing it! (I side load everything). On the Glo, just that one book, which is for my son to read. If it annoys him too much, I'll just revert to the old firmware.

It hasn't happened on my Aura HD again, so crossing fingers!

I think there's a thread about that blank page somewhere in the Kobo forum.
As far as I remember you can tap the top to open the menu and then tap in the middle of the page again and that blank page should disappear.
