The fallow time is important for anyone trying to edit their own work, otherwise you see what you meant, not what you wrote and that makes editing really hard.
The classic way to deal with it is write one, edit one, so production stays constant because you don't stop working. You just write something else before the edit pass. That keeps you productive and gives you the mental distance to do a better editing job. |
