I won't bore you with the math, but let's just say that using the very generous advertised new-car MPG (highway) of my model car (not to mention low-balling the price of a gallon of gas)... I'm spending close to $12 on a round trip to the book store even if I purchase absolutely nothing. Mail-order and ebooks win. It's not even a contest.

In fairness; if there were a quality book-store (new and/or used) across the street from me... I'd be practically living in it.
This almost duplicates me.

Absolutely ages!!! I haven't been to a bookstore for at least three hours.

Admittedly I was picking up some books I got 'sent to store' after ordering from their website though.

I didn't vote in the poll as there's not an option for less than one month... I think the assumption was that people with e-readers wouldn't have an interest in paper books or bookshops. I know a lot of people have already said it's a long, looong time since they've been to a bookshop but but some of us odd ones are heavy users of paper books but 'also' have e-readers for material like the classics and freebies/cheapies.

No option for my vote

I bought two recipe paper books two weeks ago - reference books don't translate well to my kindle keyboard. But other than reference or art related, all my purchases have been ebooks for several years.

I'll be able to vote in this poll in about 4 weeks, unless I go into a bookstore before that.

One month... but before that, it was more than six months. I don't read print much at all anymore, and the last few times I tried B&N, they didn't have what I was looking for at all. The only bookstore browsing I do anymore is at stores with a notable used books selection.

I can't remember.

Even before I bought my ebook reader, I used to browse and buy my books from Target, especially after the local bookstore closed. I don't go out to the part of town where the Big Bookstores are very often.
