It is possible to read library books on your Kindle by using Calibre and some plug-ins, but far easier to either stay in the US with your Kindle, or if you don't want to move just for that, consider buying a Sony PRS-T1!

it's over 40 % more expensive than kindle touch. I'm not sure I can afford even the kindle touch (if it comes to UK).

I only almost have money for Kindle NT. I am considering kindle touch a little, as I can use my savings and add the missing amount. But I don't like the page turning on touch. I want page buttons or a touchscreen reacting to press not touch which isn't available.

Not really, the 99$ is only the Kindle Touch with Special Offers which isn't available outside the USA. The normal Kindle Touch is 139$ which should come pretty close to the PRS-T1

So it is 43 % more expensive. If I counted with the price 99 sony would be twice as expensive.

Not sure where you got that price, Sony says it's 149$.

I am looking at sony UK store and the price is £129.00 Incl Vat which rounds up to almost $200.

$149 seems to be only for US. So no good to me. I guess the $199 was for international model or something as it wasn't on US store.

As for the price I'd be really surprised if the Kindle Touch will be cheaper than 119 £ once it comes to the UK.

Amazon do fair price conversions. The WiFi Kindle Touch costs $139 in the US, which is currently £89.82. Add 20% VAT and that's £107.78. I would expect the Touch to be priced at £109.

I hope it won't be too expensive if it comes to UK. Although I think for my first reader NT model will work fine.

As of books, I checked my favorites in UK and US store and UK is 1-2 pounds cheaper (book prices about 2-5 pounds so it's a big percentage)

The only disadvantages of being in UK store are some lost services. I know people who like the same books as I and lending books would be very nice. Library thing could be useful too. I can live without games. I also might like offers - if they are useful as some say - but they aren't available too.

If anyone knows some other disadvantages not mentioned in this thread, please point them out.

In US store the book costs $10 instead of $6-7. Pricing isn't encouraging

I am trying to see one of the books I want in amazon uk book store. But it says that title is only available to UK customers.

I even changed my address to my future address but it still doesn't allow me to even view the price. Never saw this before.

So how am I supposed to shop there...

Does it take address from the billing address? I don't have an UK account yet

So I can't buy a kindle too?

I could ask my friends but how does buying in amazon uk work. Do you need credit card or just a bank account?

At the US store there is a Country Settings option on the manage my Kindle page:

If you're moving, you can change the country associated with your Kindle account.

This may not be applicable in the UK store (check to see), but the accounts might be linked. So if you have a US account, I suggest changing the Country Setting there to UK and then retrying at the UK store.
