I just export my scribbled-up stuff as pdfs; you can read them, with the scribblings, on anything although, of course, the scribblings are now permanent, perhaps permanents testimonies to your cluelessness. But people scribble such things in their printed books all the time (or, worse, in library books). You can obviously transfers the exported pdfs the same way you'd transfer any other file between devices.

Yes, Wiki would be worthwhile. Very much desired, in fact. I wonder if someone will be intrepid enough to write a section on Edge-related jokes.

I think there are a few of us left who've done some Android programming, but nothing like what hardcore hackers like robot and jcase were doing back when Edge first came out. They were working way down at the system level with the device drivers and stuff. Those people lost interest quite a while ago and probably wouldn't be interested in coming back now.

Is there some reason not to use the existing MobileRead wikis for the EE and PE as a starting point?

Those are just pages in the mobileread wiki, what I think others here are referring to is a whole wiki devoted to the edge, which would allow for us to make multiple pages(I don't think mobileread would like us filling theirs up with random info specific to the edge)...

So long as it is well organized there is no reason to run off and build a wiki from scratch. You are welcome to add the data to this wiki. Just remember that generic names are for generic topics. If it is something particular to a product that product name should be in the name somewhere, so that the wiki can be shared with all the other users.

It is the MobileRead intent to be a resource for all eBook Readers and the wiki in particular is intended to be a knowledge base for any and all eBook topics.

Cool!

Thanks, DaleDe!

I'll have to check above to see if anyone has started filling in an eDGe-particular section.

Oh, and did anyone ever put accurate specs for the EE/PE in the comparison wiki? Last I looked it was kinda incomplete! (I know, if it worries me I should do it myself.)

I started correcting some of the PE specs yesterday. I think the MR wiki had taken the specs from Amazon, and those were off quite a bit if you remember.

There was a good thread in the Entourage forums that detailed everything, but haven't been able to find it again.

Need to get the correct CPU speed. I know the chip is 1GHz, but thought I read somewhere it is underclocked to 800 or 820 MHz. I'm sure someone knows the specifics on that.

Update:
This review: http://www.laptopmag.com/review/tabl...ge.aspx?page=3

says it is a 1.2GHz Marvell Armada PXA168 limited to 800MHz. I thought somebody that did the teardown had looked up the chip and said it was 1GHz. I could be wrong on that.
